The Gold Standard

What Is ABA Therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis is the most researched and effective treatment for Autism Spectrum Disorder, endorsed by the U.S. Surgeon General and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

ABA therapy uses scientifically validated techniques to understand and improve behavior. Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) design individualized treatment plans that target communication, social skills, daily living skills, and behavior reduction — all based on each client's unique strengths and needs.

At the American Institute of Mental Health, our ABA programs are delivered by skilled Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) under the direct supervision of BCBAs. Every session is data-driven, ensuring measurable progress and continuous refinement of each treatment plan.

Your Journey

What to Expect

From your first call to ongoing progress, here's how the ABA therapy process works at AIM Health.

1

Initial Contact & Insurance Verification

Call us or fill out our contact form. We'll verify your insurance benefits and explain your coverage for ABA services. Our intake team will gather basic information and answer any questions you have.

2

Comprehensive Assessment

A BCBA conducts a thorough initial assessment, including a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA), to understand your child's skills, challenges, and goals. This assessment informs the individualized treatment plan.

3

Treatment Plan Development

Based on the assessment, your BCBA creates a customized treatment plan with specific, measurable goals. We'll review this plan with you and make sure it aligns with your family's priorities and values.

4

Therapy Sessions Begin

Your assigned RBT begins working with your child on the goals outlined in the treatment plan. Sessions are typically delivered multiple times per week, and the BCBA provides ongoing supervision and adjustments.

5

Ongoing Progress Monitoring

We collect data every session and review progress regularly. Treatment plans are updated as your child grows and achieves goals. Parent training sessions ensure skills carry over beyond therapy hours.
