What happens after you refer.

You are not sending a form into a void. Each of these steps is a state in our system, and you can ask us which one a patient is in.

  1. Reference number, immediately

    Issued on submission. Quote it in any call or fax about that patient — we can find the case from the number alone, without discussing details over the phone.

  2. Intake reviews it

    We check what is present and what is missing. If something is missing, we contact the family, not your front desk.

  3. Benefits verification

    We verify the plan and tell the family in plain words what it covers. No cost to them, no cost to you.

  4. BCBA assessment

    Direct observation and standardized tools, then a treatment plan submitted for authorization.

  5. Authorization, then therapy

    Hours approved, sessions scheduled in the settings the plan calls for.

Timelines depend on the payer, not on us, and we will not quote you an average we cannot stand behind. Ask us about a specific patient and we will tell you where that case actually is.

What a referral needs.

  • The diagnosisDocumented, from a qualified evaluator. Without it there is no medical necessity and no authorization.
  • Your order or letterStating that ABA is medically necessary. This is the piece only you can provide.
  • Insurance informationPlan and member ID. We verify benefits ourselves.
  • Your NPI and a way to reach youRequired on the form, and validated when you submit.
