School consultation

Bridging the gap between ABA therapy and the classroom for consistent, successful outcomes

School Consultation Services

Comprehensive support for students, teachers, and school teams.

IEP Collaboration

Our BCBAs attend IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings as members of the student's support team, providing behavioral expertise and data-driven recommendations.

Teacher & Staff Training

We train teachers, paraprofessionals, and school staff on ABA-based strategies that can be implemented in the classroom to support students with behavioral needs.

Classroom Strategies

We help schools design classroom environments and routines that support students with ASD, creating a structured, predictable setting that promotes learning for all students.

Behavior Support Plans

We develop and implement school-specific Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) that give teachers and staff clear, actionable steps for managing challenging behaviors.

How We Work With Schools

We believe that the best outcomes happen when therapy and education work together. Our BCBAs partner directly with schools to ensure students with ASD receive consistent support across all environments.

Children spend a significant portion of their day in school, making it a critical environment for skill development and behavior management. When ABA strategies are only used at home, children may struggle to transfer skills to the classroom — and vice versa.

Our school consultation services create a bridge between ABA therapy and education. Our BCBAs collaborate with teachers, aides, and school administrators to implement behavioral strategies that support learning, reduce disruption, and promote inclusion.

We respect the school's structure and workflow, working as partners — not outsiders — to help every student succeed in the classroom.

How School Consultation Works

A collaborative, step-by-step process to bring ABA support into the classroom.

  1. Parent Consent & School Contact

With the parent's written consent, our BCBA reaches out to the school to introduce our services and establish a collaborative relationship with the school team.

  2. Classroom Observation

The BCBA observes the student in the classroom to understand the school environment, identify triggers and challenges, and assess how current supports are working.

  3. Strategy Development & Training

Based on observations, the BCBA develops classroom-specific strategies and trains relevant staff on implementation, data collection, and progress monitoring.

  4. Ongoing Support & Collaboration

The BCBA maintains regular communication with the school team, providing follow-up observations, strategy adjustments, and participation in IEP and team meetings throughout the school year.

Benefits of School Consultation

When therapy and education align, everyone benefits — the student, the teacher, and the classroom.

For the Student

Consistent strategies across home and school mean faster skill generalization, reduced confusion, and a more predictable, supportive school day.

For the Teacher

Teachers gain practical tools and expert guidance to manage behavior effectively, freeing them to focus on instruction and creating a better experience for the entire class.

For the Family

Parents gain peace of mind knowing their child is receiving consistent support throughout the day, and that the school team is equipped to handle their child's needs.
